PAGTUO-A short film;Director/Writer: Lemuel Arrogante/Cinematography/Editng by Arneil Dawal

"In the making of this film, every idea, every effort was meant to glorify God. Truly, I sensed that God's mighty hand was at work in this project and there is no greater prize than His sweet whisper telling me "Well done good and faithful servant...(Mat 25:21)"-Lemuel Arrogante, Director/Writer

"There was some kind of a special string that attached me while filming this story. In my entire career as a cinematographer and for quiet a number videos that I already made, this film rises above the rest. I think, it's because of the story that makes this extra epecial. It tells about faith, family and the reality of our present world".-Arneil Dawal, Cinematographer/Editor

SYNOPSIS :Adrian and Katrina Santos are a young couple struggling through a long-distance marriage through the convenience of modern digital technology. Despite the distance, they celebrate their anniversary through video chat and look forward to Adrian's return to Cebu.

But the same technology brings about a misunderstanding that threatens to destroy their relationship with suspicions and doubt. As Adrian rushes home to resolve the conflicts, he finds that the miscommunication is not the only thing that could tear them apart.

As the fate of their marriage and Adrian's life hang in the balance, only their unwavering faith in God and an image of the Sto. Nino, a gift from Katrina's mother at the wedding, gives them the hope that everything could be put to right again.

Carl Ryan Lim & Twinkle Besas:The Grandest Wedding in Bohol

“Once in a while right in the middle of an ordinary life, love gives us a fairy tale.”

In this day and age when engaged couples can get very easy access to the services of whole teams of hardworking professional wedding planners and coordinators—and just leave everything to them—Carl and Twinkle are almost a rarity.

From being clueless lovebirds who didn’t know where to go on day one, to becoming real hands-on, inspired clients towards the build-up for the wedding, the two have come a long way. Perhaps it was their vision of a heavenly, quiet and elegant wedding which guided them, and got them through almost a year of intense prepping for their big day.

They spared no expense in hiring the best wedding suppliers from Cebu and Bohol: wedding gown designer Protacio; event stylist Boy Dumadag of Blue Grass Project who transformed the Diocesan Shrine of Our Lady of the Assumption in Dauis, Bohol into a dreamy garden whitescape; Debbie Huang of Simple wishes who conjured an Italian vineyard vignette inside the Dagohoy Grand Hall of Bohol Tropics Resort Club; passionate wedding photographer Lemuel Arrogante and Videographer Arneil Dawal of Papicture; top maquillage expert Wen-wen Zaspa; mega efficient, detail-obsessed wedding planner Ritchie Mendoza; and more.

As the dashing scion danced with his ravishing new wife amidst a crowd of 600 well-coiffed, well-heeled attendees—well, actually, Tagbilaran’s top 600—an Audrey Hepburn quote came to mind: “Once in a while right in the middle of an ordinary life, love gives us a fairy tale.”

Light In The Dark

THIS IS MY FIRST SHORT DOCUMENTARY FILM THAT I HAVE WRITTEN AND DIRECTED.
ARNEIL DAWAL, MY PERFECT PARTNER AND CINEMATOGRAPHER IN THIS FILM, INITIALLY INTENDED TO SUBMIT THIS TO A SHORT FILM COMPETITION IN SINULOG 2009. BUT AS WE GO ALONG THE REALITIES IN THE MAKING OF THIS TWO-WEEK PROJECT, WE DISCOVERED OURSELVES EXPERIENCING A MOVING PRESENSE OF GOD. AND SLOWLY OUR VISION SHIFTED. WE WANT THIS FILM TO BE USED FOR GOD'S GLORY. AS OF THIS WRITING WE DO NOT KNOW HOW AND WHERE.-Lemuel Arrogante

Light In The Dark is a short true-to-life documentary film of an inmate(one of the famous dancing inmates who gained popularity in Youtube) in CPDRC(Cebu Provincial Detention and Rehabilitation Center)in Cebu Philippines. He was languishing in jail for six years waiting for the first trial of his murder case.

His only strength and hope is his devotion to the holy child Jesus, the Senor Sto Nino. He longed to light a candle and touch the miraculous image.

But what a divine manifestation or you may put it a coincedence, that one week after the interview, that image of Senor Sto Nino he longed to see, paid a visit in CPDRC for the firt time. Wow! Answered prayer? Miracle?

This is just another countless testimonies that the word of God in scripture is true. Mark 2:17 says "...I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners." Truly He came to the prisoners who freely touched Him. Not even the millions of devotees has liberty to come closer and touch the miraculous image.

This is Lemuel Arrogante and Arneil Dawal Film. Cinematography by Arneil Dawal, story and direction by Lemuel Arrogante and in collaboration with Papicture Studio in Cebu Philippines. Special thanks to my script editor Miss Amy Salgados.

Youtube viewing maybe preferred, please check this link

The Best Perspective of Cebu Metropolitan Cathedral Church

Reminiscing the basic vignetted sepia rendition
of Cebu Metropolitan Cathedral Church as backdrop
for Michael & Samantha's pre-nup portrait for their Dec 27, 2008 wedding.
It's the power of my canon 10-20mm lense set at 10 that makes the
perfect perspective. The sepia tone, vignette, contrast and highlight enhancement,
for me makes this picture dramatic!

Avant garde Studies

With the collaboration of Wenwen Zaspa, Cebu's top make-up artist and the models from Bigfoot, courtesy of Renee Tan, Fashion FTV Production coordinator, I've come out some interesting studies than can be categorized as avant garde and fashion photography

I started the one-hour shoot in Bigfoot Entertainment's studio in Mactan, Cebu Philippines, then moved up to the mountain top in transcentral highway for another one hour shoot.

Would you believe the 627 images/2 gigs images in about two hours?
Well, it's Lemuel-Wenwen's tandeem effect!!! Or simpy just fusing the right attitude and passion!!!

Here are some of my shots...(Lemuel Arrogante)
