As the dashing scion danced with his ravishing new wife amidst a crowd of 600 well-coiffed, well-heeled attendees—well, actually, Tagbilaran’s top 600—an Audrey Hepburn quote came to mind: “Once in a while right in the middle of an ordinary life, love gives us a fairy tale.”

Light In The Dark

THIS IS MY FIRST SHORT DOCUMENTARY FILM THAT I HAVE WRITTEN AND DIRECTED.

ARNEIL DAWAL, MY PERFECT PARTNER AND CINEMATOGRAPHER IN THIS FILM, INITIALLY INTENDED TO SUBMIT THIS TO A SHORT FILM COMPETITION IN SINULOG 2009. BUT AS WE GO ALONG THE REALITIES IN THE MAKING OF THIS TWO-WEEK PROJECT, WE DISCOVERED OURSELVES EXPERIENCING A MOVING PRESENSE OF GOD. AND SLOWLY OUR VISION SHIFTED. WE WANT THIS FILM TO BE USED FOR GOD'S GLORY. AS OF THIS WRITING WE DO NOT KNOW HOW AND WHERE.-Lemuel Arrogante

Light In The Dark is a short true-to-life documentary film of an inmate(one of the famous dancing inmates who gained popularity in Youtube) in CPDRC(Cebu Provincial Detention and Rehabilitation Center)in Cebu Philippines. He was languishing in jail for six years waiting for the first trial of his murder case.

His only strength and hope is his devotion to the holy child Jesus, the Senor Sto Nino. He longed to light a candle and touch the miraculous image. 

But what a divine manifestation or you may put it a coincedence, that one week after the interview, that image of Senor Sto Nino he longed to see, paid a visit in CPDRC for the firt time. Wow! Answered prayer? Miracle? 

This is just another countless testimonies that the word of God in scripture is true. Mark 2:17 says "...I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners." Truly He came to the prisoners who freely touched Him. Not even the millions of devotees has liberty to come closer and touch the miraculous image.

It's the power of my canon 10-20mm lense set at 10 that makes the

perfect perspective. The sepia tone, vignette, contrast and highlight enhancement,

for me makes this picture dramatic!

Avant garde Studies

With the collaboration of Wenwen Zaspa, Cebu's top make-up artist and the models from Bigfoot, courtesy of Renee Tan, Fashion FTV Production coordinator, I've come out some interesting studies than can be categorized as avant garde and fashion photography

I started the one-hour shoot in Bigfoot Entertainment's studio in Mactan, Cebu Philippines, then moved up to the mountain top in transcentral highway for another one hour shoot.

Would you believe the 627 images/2 gigs images in about two hours?

Well, it's Lemuel-Wenwen's tandeem effect!!! Or simpy just fusing the right attitude and passion!!!

Rajah Park Hotel Project

Here are some of the pictures I toke for Rajah Park Hotel's airport billboard and brochure.

I was briefed that the  photographed should imply the message that Rajah Park Hotel is the only hotel in Cebu, Philippines that is centrally located at the busy district of Fuente Osmena.

The Beauty Behind The Window

The warm natural lighting at 5pm sunlight, filtered by backyard trees created a simple yet mystical and moving environmental portrait of Janet. -Lemuel

The Winning Shots of Jojo Sudario

displayed a high caliber shots in John and Janet's wedding.

Jojo successfully documented a funny chasing photojournalism shot

of the couple with the squadron of Filipino marines.

Jojo's black and white photojournalism picture below

will already compete in a national competition. He will just wait for the right time.

The lighting is very much well placed, illumating only the couple's playful expression amidst the crowded market place.-Lemuel

Mystifying Intimacy

The fruit of an instant artistic intuition. The shoot was unplanned.

I just lead the couple to where my feelings direct me.

Spoilt truck tire at the harbor caught my attention.

And I asked myself why don't I create an intimacy in this unlikely place?

I just realized later that for me it's the best portrayal

I just wanted instant prompting, I don't want to be carried away with routine.

Perhaps, I thought this is the best approach for Janet and John.

As we passed by a car wash shop, ideas just running wild.

The Kiss And The Seas

I get easily turned on when I see a beautiful shoreline at sunset.
Initially, I followed my 70-200 f2.8
to Josef and Olga's shoreline frolic.
But the poetry of the rushing seas kissing the waiting sand
inspired me to create a great kissing scene.
